Sarah Harding was addicted to sleeping pills

Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding says she was addicted to powerful sleeping pills for four years.

30-year-old singer said she had to "hell and back" with her alcoholism and dependence on prescription drug Zopiclone, which she started taking in 2006 after finding it difficult to fall asleep. It took her three weeks of intensive rehab to help get rid of this habit.

"I'm just glad I survived. My drinking was out of control and I was addicted to sleeping pills (zopiclone). It was a terrible combination", ContactMusic. COM quoted Harding as saying.
