How strong is the temazepam sleeping pill?

Temazepam is the strongest sleeping pill that you will find a doctor willing to prescribe. After temezapam, you get into barbiturates, and you won't find anyone willing to give you barbiturates. (At least I hope you won't.) And don't get duped into taking anti-psychotics. You are not psychotic (I assume) so the benefits do NOT outweigh the risks of an anti-psychotic. Plus they don't work for true insomnia.

Now the question becomes how long will temezapam work for you. The answer is not long. It's a benzodiazapine. You have to take more and more benzodiazapines every week to get the same effect. And you can't do that for very long, because you'll go over the maximum dose pretty quickly, and into toxic amounts.sleeping tablets temazepam

So, what's the real solution for you? Well, that depends what the real problem is. You have get to the bottom of this, and find the cause of the insomnia. Do some soul searching, and be honest with yourself. Is the cause psychological? Are you keeping yourself up worrying, etc? If so, admit this to yourself, and get therapy. If you're sure your problem is not psychological, then the cause must be physical. You need to see a doctor and get checked out. You may have to fire a doctor or two before you find one with a brain willing to work with you, and not just throw more sleeping pills at you. The first most obvious thing to test is your thyroid. When I hear of intractable insomnia resistant to sleeping pills, I immediately think hyperthyroidism. Because I've been there. I could go 4 days at a time without a sleep when I had raging, untreated hyperthyroidism caused by Grave's disease. Getting it diagnosed was nearly impossible, and took ages. So get someone to test you ASAP. You need free T3 and free T4 to start. If free T3 and free T4 are abnormal, you need more tests. If normal, get your adrenal glands tested.
